Preps you for one live sales call end to end: research brief, discovery guide, objection responses, close plan and follow-up, all grounded in your own offers and proof.
Works one deal and one conversation at a time. Give it a named prospect and a call on the calendar and it produces the prep: a one-page research brief, a discovery guide with questions written for that business, responses to the objections the prospect actually raised, a close plan with a defined next-step ask, and the follow-up sequence for after the call. It sells consultatively by design, built on SPIN Selling, Gap Selling, Challenger, Sandler, MEDDPICC and value-based frameworks, matched to the size of the deal. Everything it writes uses your configured offers, your qualifying criteria and your consented proof, never a script borrowed from someone else's business.
Do not confuse it with sales-conversion-engine. That skill builds the sales system itself: the repeatable process, scripts, stages and automations every deal moves through. Sales Closer preps you for one specific call with one specific person. System there, conversation here.
This skill has no button. You start it by saying what you want. Any of these will do it:
| If you actually want | Use this instead |
|---|---|
| building the repeatable sales system: process, scripts, pipeline stages and CRM automations for every deal | sales-conversion-engine |
| the finished proposal, quote or SOW document that follows the call; the templates here only shape what you promise on the call | proposals |
| triaging the whole board of open deals and finding what has gone cold | pipeline |
| chasing an unpaid invoice after the deal closed | collections |
| designing the offer, tiers or price points being sold | offer-architect |
| What you need | Why | |
|---|---|---|
| Brand configuration: business name, offer matrix, qualifying criteria | every call guide steers toward one of your offers and qualifies against your criteria; without this context the skill asks for it before generating anything | Required |
| Deal context: who the call is with, what they have said so far, where the lead came from, which offer is on the table | the unit of work is one live deal; the prep is only as specific as what you tell it about this prospect | Required |
verified-claims.md populated with consented proof | every result, testimonial or named client deployed in an objection reframe must trace to the registry, or it gets flagged instead of cited | Required |
positioning.md and audience.md brand files | market position and real pain points sharpen the talking points and discovery questions; loaded under the freshness rules when present | Optional |
| CRM, call recordings, email and public profile access | used for pre-call research when connected; the skill works fine with whatever context you paste in by hand | Optional |
| Your own close rate data by lead source | replaces the skill's internal baselines so call length and trust-building effort are calibrated to your reality | Optional |
learnings.md entries tagged sales-closer, and picks up its own accumulated memory of which frameworks and responses have worked for you before.assets.md tagged sales-closer, you are asked how the output performed, and the answer feeds learnings.md and the skill's own memory so the next prep starts smarter.sales-prep-v1 output that downstream skills can consumeassets.md entry tagged sales-closer, plus learnings logged so the skill improves per runverified-claims.md, or it is marked as needing the registry check. A convenient case study will not be made up to win the exchange.| The mistake | Do this instead |
|---|---|
| Asking for the pitch or the price before discovery is done | Let it diagnose first. The solution bridge comes after the prospect has described the gap in their own words, and it lands harder for the wait. |
| Telling it the prospect can afford the offer when you have not asked | Say the budget is unknown. The prep will build the qualifying questions that surface it on the call instead of scripting a discount you never needed to give. |
| Padding objection prep with every objection you have ever heard | Feed it the prospect's exact words. Stated objections get full responses; everything else stays a short watch-list so the prep stays about this call. |
| Ending the call with 'I'll send you some info' | Use the close plan as written: a specific deliverable, a specific date, and a scheduled walk-through. A call without a next step is a deal going cold politely. |
| Citing a client result from memory during the call | Deploy only the evidence the prep pulled from your registry. A number you half-remember is an unverified claim the moment you say it out loud. |
| Running it to design your whole sales machine | One deal per run. When you want the repeatable process, stages and automations behind every deal, that is sales-conversion-engine. |
Name the lead source before you ask for prep. A warm referral arrives with trust already in place and usually needs only a short discovery; a cold lead needs the longer call, more credibility building and more proof deployed. The skill calibrates the whole guide off that one fact, so it is the highest-value piece of context you can give it.
